During this satire project we learned many types of satire. Some of the different types of satire include: juvenalian, reversal, incongruity, parody, horatian, and exaggeration satire. My group worked on reversal satire. Reversal satire is when an author subverts a situation to present an inversion of how things really are back to the reader.
When I do group projects I always get nervous and hope that my group members do their part so it doesn’t bring my grade down. In this project everyone did do their own part of the project. A good example of reversal satire is The Office episode when Dwight starts a fire and locks all the doors because no one expected him to do that. Our class activity was going to be playing dodgeball but you had to wear mittens and you had to catch the ball instead of doge the ball but we didn’t get to do it because we switched to online school.
